Blondie, well over 14 years old, came to us via a storm drain near the 580 freeway in San Leandro, CA. She has been a surrogate mom to the several kittens we've brought home. We haven't had the "longevity" fortune with our kittens. They've had incurable health problems, but have come to us and taught us to "let go". Blondie has always cared for them.
Paul and Ziggy, brothers from Fresno, CA, traveled with us to San Leandro, then to WrenWood. They were inseparable until we learned that Ziggy had an abdominal mass and we lost him to the tumor. After three years, Paul's bond to Blondie is deeper, he is bridging the gap to Jessie, and he is even more relaxed with the humans.
